Alba Madonna, Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, 1483 - April 6, 1520, made 1510, Art Work Dimensions: 37.25" & medium: oil paint. The Alba Madonna is in Washington, D.C. @ the National Gallery of Art.
I made many illustrations for the art reproduction of Alba Madonna (My Art Work Reproduction Dimensions: 37.25"). I made so many drawings that my pages are loaded with practice for the real painting of mine. Yet, looking into the art work, I see my drawings and paintings as even greater by pencil and paper with later applied acrylic paint than the oil art reproduction and that is really not a 'let down' (as if liking the process than to its' outcome) – often regarding the practice and making towards as leading up to this art presentation is the essence of making art (to me, practicing and pushing the lead onto paper just to make it visually appealing). Jesus looks very fair for many of my figures on this page. Mary has a very motherly looking quality of my drawing to painting by being her greater sized figure and the 'look after the children' position. St. John is very friendly and he looks (all visual qualities of this art work that I tried to impress with my art talents) amiable by his open loving eyes and admiration of Jesus…
