The Virgin of the Rocks
A caricature after da Vinci's
art work masterpiece
The Virgin of the Rocks, 1483-1486, Leonardo da Vinci (April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519), medium: oil on panel (transferred to canvas – later) & Dimensions: 78.3” x 48.0”. The original art work is @ La Louvre, Paris, France.
I was drawing the first caricature painting of mine and my research found some myths about a demon in the art work. I saw it more as the hand of Mary conducting a very beautiful religious musical sound – I also make music and much of my song work is in the same time as this art work making. This particular arrangement is Jesus (adult) in the place of Mary, a fairy angel in the place of Jesus (the child), my own image in the place of St. John and some wild nymph as Uriel. My Art Dimensions: 45.125” x 25.625” & Medium: oil on canvas & graphic design drawn onto the photograph images.
