I made my art reproduction of the Liberty from years of painting beginning in 1998 - approximately when I graduated from Southern CT State U. in January of 1999 as an art major by studio art: painting. The art work looked tri tone in the early stages of this developing art work by flesh, peach, blue and some white to blend the shades and tints as values together. I got sick of looking at just my mastery as 3 colors and I did something about it – I kept the skin exactly the same and I painted around her flesh to really make her garments and night look very impressive. My art work medium: oil and water mixable oil on canvas...
Parts of Lady Liberty are kept for ages. I left her quality skin and likeness as matching where applied to as worked upon. The puzzle pieces by applications of paint over the years are the successes each time as they are made. Spending 20 years to apply onto her oil painted composition has come in serious waves...
